Vidas is an Italian association that offers free health service to terminally ill people at their houses or at the hospice Casa Vidas.
In over 30 years, Vidas have helped 28.000 patients (up to 150 per day) in Milan area thanks to doctors, nurses, care workers, social workers, psychologists and a lot of prepared and motivated volunteers. In a year, Vidas helps 1600 patients: this is the widest average for this type of service in Europe.

On the 7th of November 2013, the Philippines was hit by Haiyan ( YOLANDA ), a storm travelling at 400 kilometers per hour and causing thousands of deaths . Eleven million Filipinos were involved in the passage of the typhoon. Many of them were left without shelter, food and water.
Since 1987, Father John Gentilin is a missionary in one of the poorest areas of the world, in Tondo , in the slums of Manila. He is also the local landmark of the ” One hand helps the other ” managing aid arriving in favor of ‘association.
As a result of this catastrophe a’ special initiative called “One more effort” was immediately activated to collect money to send quickly to the Philippines helping the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
